Funding is available for innovative short films across various formats including live action, factual and virtual reality with support for both individual filmmakers and production companies.

Northern Ireland Screen's Director & Producer
Shadowing Scheme is now open.
This scheme supports emerging directors and producers to build on their short film experience and gain valuable, paid on-set experience across TV and film productions.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals on Northern Ireland Screen funded projects, across areas including TV drama, comedy, independent film and more.
The scheme is open on a rolling basis, with applications open until 31 December 2026.
