FILMMAKER OPPORTUNITY: First Flights Short Film Fund x Kodak

Emerging filmmakers worldwide can apply for up to £7,000 / $10,000 in non-recoupable production funding through the First Flights Short Film Fund.

Open to live-action and documentary shorts in any genre, the fund helps emerging filmmakers bring ambitious short-form work to the screen while retaining full creative control.

There’s also a special Kodak 16mm opportunity: two selected filmmakers will each receive 5 × 400ft rolls of Kodak 16mm film plus complete processing coverage. One filmmaker will also receive a $10,000 post-production package from Periscope.

Selected projects also receive support with festival submissions and distribution opportunities. Projects should plan to enter production within six months after the deadline.

Spend the winter working in the Alps

This winter we're launching a brand-new concept at one of our venues, Favela, a Latin American restaurant and party bar where we're combining great hospitality with live entertainment.

We're looking for outgoing people who can sing, perform and entertain guests, but first and foremost this is a hospitality role. We're looking for humble, hardworking people who enjoy working as part of a team and making guests smile.

It's a paid six-month winter contract in the French Alps, with accommodation and the chance to help build something completely new.

About Color Line

Color Line is Norway’s largest cruise and ferry operator, offering passenger and freight services between Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. With a strong maritime heritage and a focus on high-quality onboard experiences, Color Line provides entertainment offerings including live music, stage productions, family programming, and seasonal concepts across its fleet.

Performance Requirements

The onboard entertainment will consist of two different show concepts for southbound and northbound sailings.

Standard schedule: Two performances per day, seven days a week, with each performance lasting a minimum of 50 minutes.

High season periods (Christmas, winter, Easter, summer, and autumn holidays): Up to three performances per day may be required, with each performance lasting approximately 35 minutes.

Promo shows: Short 8–15 minute performances showcasing the current onboard entertainment.

Passenger dance activities: Approximately one hour in duration, requiring a minimum of two instructors and managed by the onboard Lead Dancer.

Christmas shows (approximately 1 November – 31 December): Two standalone Christmas performances, performed as pop-up acts in the Promenade or Show Lounge, featuring a minimum of four singers/dancers.

Contract Details

UK Rehearsals:

5 August – 25 August 2026

Shared accommodation provided

Travel to and from the UK covered if required

Embarkation / Onboard Dates:

5 September – 21 September 2026 for all cast members

Rotation schedule will begin after this period: approximately 1 month onboard / 1 month off

Final allocation will be confirmed at the time of offer

Contract end date: 17 September 2027

Fees & Benefits

Rehearsal buyout: €2,919 for 32 days

Onboard accommodation: Single cabin provided

Bi-weekly payments

Weekly onboard fees:

Singers: €896 per week

Singer/Dancers: €724 per week

Additional details:

€150 monthly travel stipend while working onboard

Performers are responsible for travel costs to and from the ship once rehearsals are complete

Medical examination required at performer’s expense

No duties or safety responsibilities required

No alcohol consumption permitted while onboard

Movement Director needed for Opera Galway

I need a movement/drama coach/director for this opera. It is short so it needs a freelancer who has the time/inclination to work on a short project. I would also like some drama input on the pieces in the second half as there are several highly dramatic arias. .

The proposed venue is the Town Hall Theatre, Galway with pianist Gary Beecher.

**Lifted Entertainment (Part of ITV Studios) are looking for a PRODUCTION SECRETARY to join the team on THE VOICE. **

Dates: July 20th - October 9th 2026

Location: Based in Manchester (offices are located at MediaCityUK) with some remote working

Role: Supporting the Production Management Team with the day-to-day operational tasks and logistics across the series

Skills you'll need (Minimum role criteria): these should be demonstrated within your CV

Minimum of 6 months as a Production Secretary in a non-scripted tv production environment.
Experience and confidence to book travel, accommodation and create itineraries for large groups of people adapting to last minute changes.
Experience of working in a deadline driven environment working accurately and to speed.
Proven ability to work effectively and constructively as part of a team and with a wide range of people (external suppliers, production colleagues, and on screen contributors/talent) respecting confidentiality at all times.

Other things we're looking for:

Experience working on an entertainment or music talent show is beneficial (but not essential). If you have experience in these areas please evidence this in your CV.
Experience of ITV’s systems is also beneficial, however, training will be given.
Demonstrable ability to use initiative and be proactive in the production environment showing resilience as well as sensitivity to the needs and pressures of colleagues both within and outside ITV.

The Technical and Facilities Manager is a key management role within the Production Department, responsible for leading the theatre’s technical team and ensuring the safe, effective and well-planned delivery of technical operations across Lyric Productions, Visiting Companies, rehearsals, and events. The role requires strong technical theatre knowledge, credible practical experience, and the ability to lead, motivate and develop technicians at varying stages of their careers.

The post holder is also accountable for day-to-day facilities management operations, including the coordination of on-site contractors, prioritisation of routine building issues, oversight of facilities tasks and escalation of significant compliance, cost, or capital matters to the Head of Production.
